Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Formzy ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our website, products, and services ("Services").
1. Information we collect
1.1 Information you provide
When you create an account, manage forms, or contact support we may collect information you provide directly, such as name, email address, and any content you upload or enter into forms.
1.2 Respondent details
When respondents submit form responses, we may collect small non-sensitive device and environment fields to help owners understand submissions. On web this may include:

These fields are limited, best-effort, and collected only when the form owner enables the Respondent Details feature. We do not collect personally-identifying information from respondents unless they enter it into the form fields (such as an email or phone number).
1.3 Information collected automatically
We collect usage and analytics data (e.g., pages visited, timestamps) using third-party services (Firebase, analytics providers). We may also derive a coarse location from the request IP to help form owners understand respondent geography; this is a best-effort lookup and stored with the response as an optional ipLocation field (city, region, country, latitude/longitude when available).
2. How we use information
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Services.
- Process and store form responses and related metadata for form owners.
- Improve and analyze the Services, including aggregated analytics.
- Provide support and respond to requests.
3. Sharing and disclosure
We share user-provided form response data with the form owner and any parties they explicitly designate (for example via webhook integrations). We do not sell personal information. We may share data with service providers who process data on our behalf (hosting, analytics, payment processors) under contractual restrictions.
4. Data retention
Form responses and associated metadata are retained until deleted by the form owner or as required by law. Owners can delete responses; deleted data may persist in backups for a limited period.
5. Security
We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect data. However no online service is completely secure — please avoid submitting highly sensitive personal information unless necessary.
6. Your choices and rights
Account holders can access, export, and delete their data via the account settings or by contacting us at support@formzy.co.in. Respondents should contact the form owner directly to request changes or deletion of their submission.
7. Children
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will take steps to remove it.
8. Third-party services
The Services rely on third-party providers (e.g., Firebase, cloud providers, IP geolocation services). Those providers' own privacy policies apply for data they process on our behalf.
Street addresses on photo watermarks are looked up from the photo's GPS location using OpenStreetMap (data © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License) or Google Maps.
When you use Create with AI in the form builder, the text you type or paste, or the contents of the spreadsheet you import, is sent to Groq, Inc. (groq.com), which runs the AI model that turns it into suggested questions. Only that content is sent: not your form's responses, your account details, or anything else in your account. Don't include personal or sensitive information you don't want processed this way. Groq's own privacy policy applies to its processing.
9. Changes to this policy
We may modify this Privacy Policy. We will post the revised policy with a new effective date. Continued use after changes indicates acceptance.
